About the Foundation
Al-Noman Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Orlando, Florida. Founded in 2021 in memory of Noman Abushanab, who was lost to COVID-19, we empower underprivileged communities worldwide through clean water, education, food security, and places of worship. Our motto is "Be Giving, Be Living."
The foundation was founded in 2021 by the family of Noman Abushanab, who was lost to COVID-19. It was created to honor his memory and continue his spirit of generosity. The name "Al-Noman" means "the blessings" in Arabic.
Yes. Al-Noman Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are 100% tax-deductible. Our EIN is available upon request.
We operate in Benin (West Africa), Palestine, and the United States. The majority of our programs are in Benin, including water well construction, education sponsorship, food distribution, and healthcare programs.

Yes, 100%. Al-Noman Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. You will receive a donation receipt for your tax records.
More than 90% of every dollar donated goes directly to people in need. We keep administrative costs to an absolute minimum by operating with a volunteer-driven team.

Yes. Many of our campaigns, especially water wells, qualify as Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity). You can dedicate your donation in someone's name or memory.
Yes. The Quran Memorization Sponsorship campaign is Zakat-eligible. Your Zakat can go toward supporting students memorizing the Holy Quran in Benin.
Programs & Campaigns
We run programs across four pillars: Clean Water (building wells in Benin), Education (student and family sponsorship plans), Food Security (Bread a Day, Dabiha meat distribution, Ramadan Iftar meals), and Places of Worship (building and restoring mosques). Visit our Programs page for details.
Water wells start at $500 per well. Each well serves hundreds of people with clean, safe drinking water for years to come. Water wells also qualify as Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity). Learn more.
For as little as 20 cents per person per day, we provide daily bread to families in Benin who cannot afford it. The program runs continuously and feeds hundreds of people. Donate to Bread a Day.
For $30/month, the Student Plan provides one student in Benin with a school bag, food, stationery, shoes, and books — everything they need to attend school and succeed.
For $99/month, the Family Plan supports an entire family in Benin: food, rent, sponsorship for 2 students, parents' utilities, and shoes for the whole family.
Volunteering
Visit our Volunteer page and fill out the volunteer application form. We'll match you with opportunities based on your skills and availability. We welcome volunteers of all skill levels.
Yes. Many of our volunteer opportunities are remote, including social media management, graphic design, translation, and fundraising coordination.
Crowdfunding
Yes! Visit our Start a Campaign page to submit a campaign proposal. Our team reviews submissions and, once approved, your campaign goes live with a donation link and progress tracking.
